Turned the clocks back an hour today so we are now two hours behind UK and some 580 miles west of the Cape Verde islands. We have caught up with a few yachts that left Cape Verde well ahead of us.
We made 165 miles in the last 24 hours including a good spell under spinnaker today but this afternoon the wind has dropped away significantly. Our weather info suggests that the lighter winds are to the west and north of us, but there are better conditions further south. So we have gybed onto port tack and are now heading south west towards the 14 degrees North latitude. Interestingly Grenada is at 12N so we need to make ground to the south anyway.
Glorious sailing conditions in all other respects!
