We had two reasons to go to Canada:

  • Our Visas for USA required us to leave (even for a day)
  • I needed prescription drugs and the cost in Canada was about 20% of the US price

On top of that – although I had been there with the Navy, Julie hadn’t – and it’s a beautiful place. We had a whistlestop tour of Nova Scotia, mostly by car because we were constrained by time (a fatal error when cruising). We would like to return, possibly as part of a trip to Greenland, and would aim to spend more time in Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, Cape Breton and Labrador.
